Pop's Hip Replacement
Pop got his hip replaced by Dr. Hoer on Monday the 22nd. He and mom went to the hospital at 5:30 am to get all set up for the surgery. I went to the hospital to sit with mom at 8 am after they had taken pop back to prep him for surgery. The surgery took over 4 hours! He is doing really well with his physical therapy now. His therapist even said he is over working his hip. I think he just wants to be up and moving again. Congrats on the new metal pop!

Mom's Birthday
I know I should have posted earlier, but I'm just getting around to it. Tuesday night Mom, Pop and Emily came to BJ's to visit me while I was working. I got called in to work the patio and had barely any tables so it was nice to have them come and entertain me for a little bit. Mom got her birthday pizookie and I sat and ate some with them. Since Mom always makes us feel special on our birthdays, I wanted to make her feel just as special. I put up the Happy Birthday Mom sign the night before when she went to bed. I dragged myself out of bed at 7:45 the next morning and made her scrambled eggs and blueberry pancakes. I wanted to get her flowers, but didn't time myself very well before work. I got to Mom's work 5 minutes before I was supposed to be to mine. No biggie, I was only 15 minutes late :) After I got off work we all went to Tony Roma's for dinner since mom have a free meal card for her birthday. We tried three deserts there: cheesecake, a huge cookie with ice cream and a sundae. It was a nice day and I'm so glad I was able to spend it with my mother. You are AMAZING mom and I LOVE YOU!

Haircut
I got a haircut a month or so ago. First time since high school I have gone this short and I am cutting it again next week. Thought you would like to see my new hair! This weekend I am taking a break and going to visit Kara in San Diego. I am really excited to play with Hallie and walk on the beach. I hope my life will surprise me soon and something new will happen.

Graduation
Here are some pictures of graduation. It was the longest ceremony of my life and I even fell asleep during it. My friends and I left before it was even over because we couldn't take it any longer. We ate at Roadrunner afterward with the whole family. I am finally done!!!

SURPRISE!
So I took absolutely no pictures from last weekend, but it was an amazing one anyway! Scott and I talk on the phone pretty much every night of the week and he told me that he was thinking about coming to Las Vegas this weekend to get away from the snow in Utah. I thought it was weird he would come the week before I will be up there and told him I didn't believe he would come down. I let him know I would have to work, but try to get at least Saturday off so we could spend time together in case he came. Friday, Nov. 13, I text him before going into work at 5 and asked what he was going to do that night. He told me he would probably just hang out with some friends down in Provo. I usually get a text or two while I'm at work and didn't get any from him for hours. I figured he was just with a bunch of friends and knew I was at work. Well, we were super slow and since I was the early shift, my manager told me I could start doing my side work and get out of there at around 8. The other cocktailer got slammed so I helped her out for a little while and then went back to the kitchen to clean up. I had one table left that was just hanging out and hadn't paid yet. When I was done with everything in the kitchen I went out to check on them. We have a row of five booths and they were at the end. I started to walk down the row and on the third booth I saw the other groomsmen from Lindsey's wedding and his wife sitting there. As I was walking past I looked at him and said hey what are you doing here as I turned my head to the left and realized Scott was sitting there too!!! I was in shock. Literally I just looked at him and asked what the heck he was doing there and then I punched him in the arm. He said that was not the response he was expecting. I apologized then sat on his lap and hugged him and just kept asking what he was doing there. He told me he came down just to see me and he had been planning it for a week. He told me he was going to come this weekend, Nov. 20, to throw me off. I finished all my side work, then sat down and ate with Scott, Kole and Jodie. The whole time I was just starring at him and smiling. I could not believe he was there! After dinner, Scott got into my car with me so we could go to Kole and Jodie's house to hang out. I let him drive and before he could even start the car I reached over and gave him a really good kiss :) I was really excited. Jodie is 6 months pregnant, so we looked at the baby's room and all the clothes they have for her. We watched a little bit of Talledega Nights and left so we could spend some time together. Kylie was also in town for the weekend for a missionary homecoming. I felt so bad I didn't spend more time with her since Scott was there. She told me she understood and that if a boy came down to visit here for the weekend, she would hang out with him over her sister too.
Saturday morning Kylie, Kasidy and I were supposed to go to the temple to do baptisms while Scott played football with a bunch of friends. Ky called the temple before we went down there and they told her there were 2 stakes coming in and they were not sure if they could fit us in. She decided she was going to go by herself at 11 after the stakes left. I let Scott know I was not going and he invited me to go to breakfast with all his friends at IHOP. I ate with him, Kole, Matt and his brother Geoff. We went to drop off some stuff at his mom's house after, but she was not there so we went back to Geoff's apartment so he could get ready for the day. His mom called a little later and told him that she, his nieces and sister in law would be there watching a movie if we wanted to stop by and say hi. I went down with him to meet all of them. His nieces seriously are the cutest things ever! We asked his sister in law if his brother was at work so we could stop by there. He owns a bicycle shop in Boulder City. We drove down to Boulder City to see his brother and hang out. The bike shop is so cool. His brother, Neil, makes a lot of custom bikes, so we got to ride some around main street. Neil asked Scott why he was down visiting and he looked right at me and said this girl right here. After fun at the bike shop, we met Lindsey and Derek at BJ's for dinner. We shared a pizza and I introduced Scott to the wonderful dessert called a PIZOOKIE. I had to work after because no one would take my shift at work. Since I am such a good employee, I decided not to call in and stick it out at work. Scott went to the UNLV basketball game with Derek and Linds while I headed to work. He told me he was just going to hang out at Geoff's and go to sleep til I got off work. I got off at 2 am and went over to hang out for a little while before I needed to get some sleep.
Sunday morning we went to breakfast at his Mom and stepdad's house with Geoff, Neil and his nieces. I went home after to get ready for church and picked up Scott at 1 for my ward. We went to sacrament then to downtown Henderson to spend some time with another brother named DJ. We spent an hour or so there then went back to Geoff's so Scott could pack up. He left around 5 to pick up a friend in Summerlin he was driving back to Utah with him.
I had the best weekend ever. Even though I had to work, I was beaming, smiling and felt special all weekend long. Thanks Scotty:)

BYU vs. TCU
Friday I drove up to Provo with Megan for the BYU vs. TCU game on Saturday. We met up with my friend Scott and a couple of his friends. Megs stayed for about an hour and then she took off up to Salt Lake to stay with Jen for the weekend. Scott, Paul and I made a sign for ESPN's Gameday that was happening the next day next to the stadium. Scott thought of a funny thing to put on the poster: "We may practice abstinence, but at least we're not HORNY FROGS." After hanging out at Paul's apartment for awhile, Scott drove me up to Grams and Gramps house.
Scott is the guy that escorted me down the aisle at Lindsey's wedding a few weeks ago. He is Lindsey's husband's best friend. We have a been talking since the wedding and he lives in Lehi, Utah right now, but he is from Vegas.
Saturday we got to the parking lot next to the stadium at 8 am so we could try to get on TV. Once we got up to the front area where you can see better the police took away our sign because they said it was a sexual innuendo to have horny on there. At least the cop thought it was funny, but he just couldn't let us take it out there. After Gameday ended at 10 we went over to Paul's house and hung out for about an hour. Then, Scott had a bunch of friends that wanted him to play football. We had about an hour to kill before lunch with Meg's and Jen in Salt Lake so we went over to the park so he could play. Around 1230 we headed up to Lehi so Scott could shower before we went up to Salt Lake. We met Jen and Megs at a mexican restaurant called Lonestar near Murray. It was really good food and to see Jen again. I miss her so much now that she is in Utah. After Lunch we drove back to Lindon so I could change into some warmer clothes for the football game that night. The first counselor in my bishopric has season tickets to the BYU games and had a wedding to attend this weekend. So, I asked if I could have his tickets and he was nice enough to give them to me. BYU did horribly at the game! I thought there was going to be a little more competition between them and TCU, but TCU kicked their trash. We got hot chocolate at half time because it was really cold out and even started raining during the game. Kylie came up and said hi to us for a little bit at half time. It was really nice to see her since I miss her so much. Scott decided that if BYU was still doing horribly after the 3rd quater we would leave. So, we left after the 3rd quarter :) We were both a little hungry so we went and got ice cream after the game at a place called Sub Zero. They use nitrous oxide to freeze your ice cream right in front of you. It was a really fun place. We went back to Grams and Gramps after to watch a movie.
Sunday we went to a ward in South Jordan with a bunch of Scott's friends. Melissa had called me on Saturday and asked if I could drive back a car for one of her friends from Vegas that had to fly home that weekend. Megs can't drive at night very well so she left around noon with my car to get home before it got dark. After church, Scott and I ate at TGI Fridays and went back down to Lindon. I packed up my stuff at Grams and Gramps and we hung out there for a little while. I headed out around 6 pm that night. It was a really fun weekend and I can't wait to go back up after Thanksgiving! Thanks for letting me stay with you Grams and Gramps!

GOLDEN BIRTHDAY!
My GOLDEN birthday was last wednesday. I turned 23 on the 23rd of September. It was more like a birthday week, than just a day. Even though I had a party last year, this birthday definitely topped that one. I had 4 birthday dinners, 3 birthday cakes and a huge cupcake, and a birthday lunch.
Sunday night we had everyone over for dinner at the house. Mom of course made my favorite, Beef Stroganoff, for dinner. She also got me an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen that actually had my name spelled correctly on it :) Emily, Matthew and kids got me haviannas flip flops, which I have been wanting forever! And they were gold, just like my birthday. Thanks Emily!
Monday we had dinner at Chili's on Las Vegas Blvd with Mom, Pop, Emily and I. I don't think we have eaten at Chili's since they closed the one by our house and we used to go there for every birthday. It was so good! They brought me out a chocolate lava cake and sang to me there too. Em and I went to the Belz Outlet mall after and I finally found some shoes for Lindsey's wedding this weekend!
Tuesday night I went to Texas De Brazil with my friend Pranil from school. It is a Brazilian style restaurant where they bring around big sticks with meat on them and shave off pieces for you at your table. They also had a salad bar with tons of food besides salad. It was fun to try something new.
Wednesday, my actual birthday, mom made me pancakes for breakfast. At clinicals, all the techs and one of the doctors signed a card for me and got me a gift card. Then, the other student at my clinical site that goes to UNLV with me, took me out to lunch at the pizza place near our site. He also bought me an ice cream cake which was so delicious! That night I invited about 50 people in my phonebook to come hang out and eat at Cafe Rio with me. About 20-25 people showed up. It was really fun! I got a new hoodie, scrubs, flowers, candles, sunglasses, sand, and money. After dinner I went to see a band play at Beauty Bar on Fremont street with a friend of mine.
Friday, the secretary at my clinical site made me a double layer chocolate cake. She brings cakes in every week, which are really hard to resist. She also makes them for everyone's birthdays and made me mine on Friday since my friend brought the ice cream cake on Wednesday.
My birthday week was seriously so amazing. I was happy all week long! Thank you everyone for the presents and calls. Let's see how 23 treats me!
